This is probably the last post from me regarding gigs in Billericay. As you may have picked up, I will be moving to Paphos, Cyprus in January!  More details can be found here

Announcement

This post is to say thank you for supporting live music in Billericay over the time I’ve been here (I arrived in June 2008). You’ve certainly helped to put Billericay on the musical map. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of you and want to thank you for putting your trust in an unknown promoter / music fan.  We’ve had some amazing gigs (80 plus) with some amazing artists (known and unknown), and we’ve made a lot of friends along the way. I will miss you!

Thanks for the memories.

‘revPACman promotions’ has one final House Gig lined up on 27 October with Dan Pierce. Drop me a line if you’re interested – if there is a large uptake we might move this into Emmanuel and will reduce the price.

House Gig: Dan Pierce

These are a few gigs worth looking out for in the next few weeks (mostly artists who have played here):

Two Lads and a Laptop at Emmanuel on 7 October (I’m not organising this event – just helping to promote)

Robert Vincent at Little Rabbit Barn on 7 October

Hamilton Loomis in Epping on 15 October

Louis Brennan in Dalston on 24 October.

Lauren Housley in Stoke Newington on 3 November

Hannah White in Shepherds Bush on 3 November

Clare Sands at Green Note on 3 November

Jeremy Johnson at Folklore on 9 November

Papa George Band at Barleylands on 11 November

Connor Selby in Chelmsford 1 December

Bad Influence at Barleylands on 16 December

Such a shame Clare, Lauren and Hannah are playing on the same night.  I got tickets for Lauren first so will be going there!

The latest releases from Joe Martin, Alex Hart and Ashley McBryde are worth checking out. Lauren has just released an EP under the guise of Lauren Housley and the Northern Cowboys. Chris Stapleton has a new album out in November as does Hannah White. The Zac Brown Band have a covers album coming out before the end of the year.

Be sure to keep supporting live music when you can – and especially small music venues such as Blues at Barleylands, Little Rabbit Barn, Green Note etc.

My final service at Emmanuel will be at 3.00 pm on Sunday 26 November – it would be great to see you if you are around. There will be some nosh afterwards!

If you ever find yourselves in Cyprus in the next couple of years, drop me a line (on this email address or search me on Anglican Church of Paphos) and we’ll be sure to catch up over a beer. Especially if you fancy a wedding on the beach or wish to renew your wedding vows with sand between your toes!

Don’t forget I’m always happy to catch up for a coffee / beer / curry …

Be safe and be blessed.

Paul
