We are planning to hold a ‘physical’ Alpha Course at Emmanuel, starting at 6.00 pm on Sunday 26 September, which will take us through to the end of November.
This is a great opportunity to strengthen your faith and/or invite someone along who you know has been asking questions about ‘God, Life and Death’ during the pandemic. We may not be able to answer all your questions but we may answer some!
Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.
Typically, Alpha involves a meal, a talk and discussion.
We begin with Afternoon Tea at 6.00 pm followed by thought provoking talks, addressing key issues of life from a Christian perspective and include multi-media presentation (PowerPoint, DVD, film clips). After the talk, we discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions, share our thoughts and learn from each other. We aim to finish at 8.00 pm.
Alpha starts on at 6.00 pm on Sunday 26 September at Emmanuel Church, Laindon Road, Billericay. CM12 9LD.
We find that Sunday seems to work for many people as it enables you to spend the day with your family rather than having to rush in from work during the week and rush out again!
