You are welcome to a great night of live music in the amazing St Mary Magdalen Church on Billericay High Street in aid of the mental health charity ‘Mind’.
1 in 4 people in the UK each year will suffer some kind of mental health problem, and are likely to be victim to stigma because of it. Mind say “We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.” This organisation is one that is close to all of our hearts, so we are pleasured to be able to contribute to the cause and raise awareness of the work they do. You can find out more at www.mind.org.uk
Carousel www.facebook.com/CarouselUK are a 6-piece Americana music collective, based in Southend-on- Sea. Discovering inspiration and enthusiasm in a plethora of music, the band fuse country, folk, blues and roots into their own stylings, whilst taking full advantage of having 4 vocalists at their disposal. Their influences are drawn from many musical styles, allowing them to present a fresh take on heartfelt, honest music. Their songs are both uplifting and sombre. Wistful yet forward-looking. Energising and emotive. The band’s aim is to breathe new life into music venues and street-level performances around the UK, with a view to removing the barrier between artist and audience.
Carousel will be supported by local singer songwriters Dan Pierce and Chris Asher. Each artist performing holds this charity close to their heart and would like to raise awareness and money for the amazing work MIND do for people who suffer with mental heath problems.
