Are you, or anyone you know, going to the Leeds Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend (27-29 August 2021)? If so, be sure to give me a shout!
I’m one of 170 volunteers with Festival Angels who will be serving the festival through the Prayer Cafe, Lost Property and on Detached around the site. You’ll see us wearing T-Shirts with the Festival Angels logo.
You’ll find me in and around the Prayer Cafe on ‘Traders Alley’ (opposite Blue camping) and we’re open 24/7 from the Wednesday morning through to Monday lunchtime. You can also buy a thermal mug from us for a fiver which then entitles you to unlimited hot drinks 24/7 for the duration of the event – this also includes hot water if you’ve got any pot noodles or porridge pots that need topping up. A real bargain! Last time the 6000 mugs sold out by Friday afternoon so be sure to get down there as quickly as possible.
If any of my friends have any of their children going then please get them to look me up as we provide a safe haven for those who may get a bit twitchy or have possibly over indulged over the duration of the festival!! Drop me a message if your kids are going and I can be their point of contact for you at the fest.

We will be stopping for Prayer three times each day in the Prayer Cafe from Thursday to Sunday. Provisional times are 10.00 am, 4.00 pm and 10.00 pm lasting around 10 mins. It would be good to see you whether you are the praying kind or not! We have a set theme for each day:
Thursday The Pandemic Daily Prayer Thursday
Friday Schools, Colleges and Universities Daily Prayer Friday
Saturday The National Health Service Daily Prayer Saturday
Sunday Our Nation And Our World Daily Prayer Sunday
All the words will be written down which will make it easier for everyone to follow. We’ll also read out the prayers written by festival goers each day.
There will also be a Sunday service – time TBC. Sunday Service
Of course, many people will be there for the music and this is what you can look forward to!
